| Provence is a region of southeastern France on the Mediterranean adjacent to Italy. It is part of the administrative région of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The traditional region of Provence comprises the départements of Var, Vaucluse, and Bouches-du-Rhône and parts of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Alpes-Maritimes. Provence is so named because it was the first Roman province outside of Italy. Many people visiting the Provence prefer to stay in Cannes, which is one of the most central and convenient (not to mention lovely!) towns to stay in while there. It is also very close to and other smaller towns and attractions from Tourettes sur Loup to Grasse and the Ski fields of Isola 2000 and Auron! Some people get to go to Provence! They prefer to stay in Cannes! We have taken the liberty of providing some of the regions best offers, information and listings which will be interesting to visitors to Marseilles on this page, to the right and below! Happy Travels!! |
