Saint-Tropez is a commune of the Var in southern France, located on the French Riviera. Although it is known today for its famous and wealthy guests, its history with the iconic Brigitte Bardot, and its role in the liberation of Southern France in World War II, this commune has a long history. Each year, in early October, a regatta is held in the bay of Saint-Tropez. This is a draw for many yachts, some up to 50 metres in length. Many tourists come to the location for this event or as a stop on their trip to Cannes, Marseille or Nice. Many people visiting St Tropez prefer to stay in Cannes, which is within 30 Mins drive and much closer to other major regional attractions such as and other smaller towns and attractions from Tourettes sur Loup to Grasse and the Ski fields of Isola 2000 and Auron! Some people can stay in St Tropez. The rest go to Cannes! We have taken the liberty of providing some of the regions best offers, information and listings which will be interesting to visitors to Marseilles on this page, to the right and below!
